A Winning Formula

'Running with the winners, read Hebrews 12' was written on his shirt when he crossed the finishing line. How true, how true. Indeed it is written there plainly for us, a winning formula. 3 steps to win in life-
1.Throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles
2.Run with perserverence, the race marked out for us
3.(and most importantly) Fix your eyes on Jesus- and step 1 and 2 will be accomplished

Easier said then done of course. How will I run my race? How will i cross the finishing line?

V1
To win, to win
Its a common agenda
A wildly used propaganda
But does it really matter?

Cos I thought Id won, but still im miserable
Its just so intangible
I cant touch it, is this the way im suppose to feel?

Finally I realise, finally I see
It was never really ever about me
O God would You give it to me, the formula to be
The answer the key to live this life victoriously

Chorus
Throw off, throw off everything that hinders
To run this race marked out before us
Break away the sin that easily entangles
Perservere cos Youve gone before me
Endured the shame, laid down Your glory
So ill fix my eyes on the cross
Yea our fix my eyes on You

V2
Now I know, that I am greatly blessed
Underserving, none the less
Ill live my life for You and no one else

A cloud of witnesses here to guide the path
So ill give this everything I have
To be a light for you

Finally I realise, finally I see
This world is just a passage way for me
Because of You, I am free
So let me be of You, and not of me
For the glory set before me just like You ill strive to be

Chorus
So ill throw off, throw off everything that hinders
To run this race marked out before us
Break away the sin that easily entangles
Perservere cos Youve gone before me
Endured the shame, laid down Your glory
So ill fix my eyes on cross
Yea our fix my eyes on You

Bridge
Always thankful to God
For the good times and the bad
For my success, for my setbacks

Always a blessing to all
Cos I know You took the fall
So ill answer to Your call

And one day ill look back and say
I ran this race for You
I did my best to please You

Outro:
So ill fix my eyes on You, ill fix my eyes on You
