Here I Wait

This song is inspired from the psalm, 130. When I read it I wanted to write a song on it, as it holds such a simple message with such honesty. The song also has hints of psalm 40, one of my favourite psalms, which carrys a simlar meaning to it. I like both these as they have notes of deep desperation and brokeness but at the same time, speak of grace and hope.

V1
In my soul lies a memory, so clear in front of me
Of the day it all began
On the long dark road, in the middle of the miry ground
It was there that I was found

And you see my transgressions
In your light my darkness revealed
And if your eyes saw me for the wretch I really am
Where would I stand?

Chorus
Full Redemption
Is this really full redemption?
Is it really true, I get it in full
Full Redemption

Love Unfailing
Love Unfailing
Is it for the taking, this love thats unfailing?
Love Unfailing

V2
I wait for you, my soul waits
More than watchmen wait for the morning
My soul waits, o for you
Just like the day, it all began

Chorus
Full Redemption
Is this really full redemption?
Is it really true, I get it in full
Full Redemption

Love Unfailing
Love Unfailing
Is it for the taking, this love thats unfailing
Love Unfailing

Bridge
Out of the depths, I cry to you
Hear my voice
Dont delay

Here I am weak
Here I am needing you
Come quick to save
Pave the way

Here I wait, here I wait
